I have been an avid gym goer for a few years now, and I’ve seen some great results. However, I’ve never quite seen the results I wanted. Having recently decided to take part in a fitness competition in Spring 2013, I knew I needed a big change. My workouts just weren’t going to cut it and get me in the shape I need to be in. That’s how I met Charles. I’d seen him training clients at Bloor Fitness 24-7, and had always been impressed with his patience and positive attitude. So I purchased 12 sessions with him.
Charles listened carefully to all of my goals, including my goal of competing, and tailored all of my workouts to make sure that I not only hit all of my goals, but exceeded them. I’m now using even heavier weights than I was before he starting training me, with much better form. I am able to complete full chin ups, a goal I’ve had for a long time and have never been able to do. He corrected my shoulder imbalance with fascial stretch therapy, improved my flexibility by teaching me to stretch properly, and I look great. I’m seeing muscles I’ve never seen before. All and all, I came out far ahead of where I thought I would be after my sessions with him. Any time anyone comments on my great arms or strong legs, I know exactly who to thank!
When I first started training with Chuck, I was 4 months away from my wedding and I really wanted to get in better shape for the big day. I knew I didn't have that much time, but I told Chuck what my goal was anyway and hoped that he'd help me get as close to it as possible. By the time it came to my wedding, I lost 15 pounds and went down almost 2 dress sizes.
Not only did Chuck help prepare me for my wedding, he helped me realize how important, and how fun, getting fit and getting strong can be. I have never felt more empowered than when I have a barbell in my hands. I continued training with Chuck for another 6 months after the
wedding because of the great results I had, and I continued to get leaner and stronger. Every training session with Chuck was fun, and he really listened to what I wanted to focus on and adjusted the training plan accordingly. He introduced me to Olympic lifting and I've been hooked on it ever since.
